"The HIF Eco-Club programme empowers students, educators and administrators to make a difference in their school, local community and beyond.
Membership is FREE. Members receive access to HIF content, project ideas, a calendar of events, special programs and professional education opportunities. Once registered you'll also receive access to download our HIF Eco-Club Membership Badge to proudly display on your website or social media platforms.
Additionally, as a member you will receive access to HIF Eco-Club resources. HIF Eco-Club provides a structured program and process for high-achieving, environmentally focused students to create extraordinary impact in schools, organizations, and communities. By incorporating HIF Eco-Club in your school, students will advance their passion for preserving the environment through environmental literacy program, leadership, and activism. The program develops bright, civic-minded and environmentally literate citizens."
Human Impact Foundation designs environmental education programs in schools that can actually run around three things every school needs: a structure teachers can manage without extra workload, activities students can genuinely take ownership of, and content that fits within the existing school calendar rather than competing with it.
We help schools set up a functioning HIF Eco-club in school. Teachers and students can run it themselves, not just a committee on paper. This includes defining the club's activities for the year, training a core group of student leaders, and supporting the teacher-in-charge with ready reference material.
Our team conducts grade-appropriate sessions to build climate change awareness in students to carry into daily choices, covering topics such as biodiversity loss, waste segregation and water conservation. Each session is built around discussion and demonstration rather than a straight lecture.
Schools get access to a simple carbon footprint calculator, where students can use it to estimate the emissions linked to everyday choices, commuting, electricity use, food and waste. Students see how their own habits compare, which makes a "carbon footprint" concrete rather than theoretical.
For schools that want to go further, we offer an environmental certification course, which teachers and senior students can complete together. It covers the basics of environment, climate science and sustainable practices so a certified batch of student mentors can help run the eco club themselves.
Where space allows, we support a tree plantation drive using the Miyawaki method to create a dense, native-species green patch. Students are involved from sapling selection to watering schedules, so the trees become something they are looking after.
Tell us about your school and we will suggest the right mix of programs.

A structured initiative that teaches students how Ecosystem functions, highlights human impact on nature and promote sustainability.
A hands-on community driven initiative focused on planting trees, reversing Eco system degradation and fostering long term environmental stewardship.
An experiential education tool that move participants out of classroom and directly into local Eco system to observe wildlife, learn about biodiversity and understand sustainability.
The course aims to move beyond classroom textbooks by giving students the tools, funding, and leadership skills needed to solve real-world environmental problems.
It bridges the gap between scientific knowledge and community action, molding students into lifelong environmental advocates.
A simple four-step process from first conversation to yearly reporting.
We start with a short conversation with the school to understand available campus space, the age group of students involved, and which parts of the program, eco club, workshops, calculator, certification course, or plantation, fit the school's calendar best.
Once the scope is set, we help form the eco club, identify student leads, and walk the teacher-in-charge through the activity calendar and resources so the club can run independently between our visits.
Our group arranges for the scheduled awareness program and, where applicable, the plantation program on campus, involving the students in all aspects and not letting them be mere spectators.
We keep in contact with the school throughout the year regarding activities in the eco club and also the condition of any trees that have been planted and give an easy report on our proceedings.

Human Impact Foundation is a registered environmental non-profit (Reg. No. 11655) with 12A, 80G and CSR-1 certification, working with schools and corporate partners on tree plantation and environmental education through HIF Eco-Clubs across India.
We work directly with school administrations rather than through a generic donation drive, so the program is shaped around what a particular school and its students need - see our CSR tree plantation partnerships page for how we work with corporates on similar ground.
